In this center, they will provide different types of digestive health services and their related education. The education campus will be provided procedural suites and clinic space for all the students.

Besides this, education and training on the Digestive System and Gastrointenstial will also be a part of their venture.

It includes the existing physicians, trainees, interns, and students. It will be the first and the only GI Fellowship Program in North and South Dakota.

If we talk about the new building, the new building will be located in the South area of the existing Education Campus.

There will be no dedicated name for this building as it will be part of the current Education Campus. It will be nearby the Former Medical Building 1 on the Campus.

Medical Building 1 was demolished in the year 2018 as they had planned something big to construct there. Today, we have come to know why the main Medical Building 1 was demolished.

They were planning to establish a new GI dedicated floor within the education campus with more facilities in the same building for other students and physicians.

When will be the building construction work accomplished?

The new five-story building construction work has already begun and it will be completed by the year 2023. The occupancy in the building will be done by 2024.

This building will be under the Sanford Health Center where they will provide one-stop medical services to their patients with less hassle.

As noted above, the top floor will be for educational purposes to teach and guide about the Gastrointestinal Tracks in the human body.

The Health Center will create a convenient environment for both patients and students along with the physicians who will also be a part of the new building within the campus.

The report claims that there will be more than 20 GI professionals working in the building upon its completion.

There will also be 10 GI procedure suites and 40 pre-procedure suites present in the building.

Educational facilities for Gastrointestinal Medical Education typically include simulation labs and educational spaces rather than operational theatres and recovery rooms, which are part of clinical facilities. It means the top floor will be full of facilities for GI professionals.

They will get all the services and fulfill their needs under the same roof on the top floor.
